Nestled among the southern hills of upstate New York, the city of Norwich greets visitors with quiet neighborhoods, quaint shops and bucolic beauty. On the city's eastern slopes, Alteren, LLC has acquired over 725 plus acres of forested land with stunning views of the city below, with an eye toward development of a master-planned community.

Alteren has envisioned building a full-service hotel that would include meeting space, a spa and salon, and a restaurant. Adjoining the hotel, current plans call for construction of a mountain-style, 18-hole golf course and clubhouse. Alteren has consulted with Graham Cooke, an internationally recognized leader in northern climate golf course design, landscaping and construction.

The development would also include upwards of 200 residential home sites varying in size from approximately 1 acre to 3 acres. Plans also call for the inclusion of nature trails to enable residents to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding development and the valley below.
